Ken "Flyin' Farmer" Essary

Flyin' Farmer Pitstop is a family-owned convenience store and kitchen located at the intersection of Highway 39 and Highway 248 in Jenkins, Missouri.

The name "Flyin' Farmer" comes from Ken Essary, whose passion for racing and reputation for hard work made him well known throughout the area. Alongside his wife, Linna, they built a life centered around family, dedication, and serving their community. Those values continue to inspire everything we're building today.

Flyin' Farmer Pitstop is owned and operated by Glen Johnson, Karen Essary-Johnson, and Mason Fulp. What started as a vision has grown into a project focused on creating something meaningful for the people who live, work, and travel through our corner of southwest Missouri.

Our goal is to provide more than just fuel. We want to be a place where people can stop for a hot breakfast before work, enjoy quality smoked meats for lunch or dinner, pick up groceries and everyday essentials, grab a cold drink, and find the friendly service that small communities are built on.

Every decision we make is guided by the values that shaped the Flyin' Farmer name: hard work, honesty, dedication, and treating people right.

Whether you're filling up your tank, grabbing a meal, or stopping in on your way to the lake, we're committed to creating a place that feels welcoming and worth coming back to.

Built through hard work and dedication.
